Choir Robes

Choir robes can define the mood and motivation of a congregation, and despite popular belief, they don't have to be unattractive and uncomfortable, because there are many different styles and fabrics to choose from. It is important to find a style that fits the atmosphere as well as fit the budget. Color choices are endless, but make sure to get a sample swatch from the company; what looks good on the computer screen or in a magazine may look entirely different on the real choir robes. Knowing what type of people will be wearing these garments will aid in the selection process, because it will narrow down the choices. These are all things to consider before even looking at a catalog.

Pricing can be difficult if it is uncertain what the church's goals are. Make sure decisions have been made about style, color, and fabric before pricing out shops for church choir robes. That being said, stay flexible enough to adjust to budget needs. It is important not to compromise quality. If the church has to go with something a little different, but will look better, do that. God blesses efforts to spread His word and song. Exodus 15:2 says "The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him." The garments chosen should exemplify the attitude and enthusiasm of the people that will be singing in them.

Care is very important to the life of the robe. Good hangers and a well ventilated closet to store the choir robes are critical to the life expectancy of each article. If a church can't seem to find any that excite them, think about creating a unique design. This can be a great creative effort from all the members of the choir. Research what the limits are from companies about custom design of church choir robes, but from there let imaginations run wild. It doesn't do any good to design a church choir robe that looks great now and will be outdated in 2 years. Look at some examples of what other people have designed for church choir robes. Make some sketches based on what was liked about these designs. If the congregation has chosen a company to work with, stay in touch with them about the creative process in designing the church choir robe.
