Thanksgiving Greetings
|
Thanksgiving greetings are always pleasant to receive on a holiday centered on appreciation for others and their actions. This appreciation includes wishing warm heart felt joy to friends and loved ones during the holidays. Thanksgiving invitations to dinner or to special celebrations are also appreciated, as families take the opportunity to share their homes, time, and fellowship with others. The holidays are very special and a time to gather together and thank God for His love, provision, and sovereignty. This season, as appreciation is shared and thanks are extended, keeping in mind all that each Holy day is about and sharing faith through the opportunities of the days will allow the peace of God to bless each one and their family throughout the years. Appreciation can be shared through cards or notes or other sources that communicate love and thanks. Some families find that holidays are the perfect opportunity to praise God and share all that they are thankful for through writing letters and updating friends and loved ones of the past year's family events. These families send their Thanksgiving greetings to their friends and family through the traditional US mail or through email on the Internet. What a blessing to find a letter of gratitude in the mailbox, a true representation of the reason for the season. Another type of action gratitude is to call close loved ones and express compassion and thankfulness for their friendship, companionship, and love. For more information, click here.
Remembering to be thankful is the key to making the holiday special and to bring God glory. Thanksgiving invitations to dinner parties, dessert, or even an afternoon of telling stories are great ways to invite others into a celebration of gratitude. Cards may be simple post cards mailed to friends or may be letters of gratitude expressing thanks, ending the letter with a special invite to dinner. Sharing thanks with others is ordained by God, as He knows that when His children slow down, take the time to be thankful, each child's eternal eyes open and perspectives are steered in the right direction.
The Bible teaches that giving thanks brings about peace and joy. The giving of thanks is a heart adjustment to looking at all of the blessings. "Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7) This season, don't simply send Thanksgiving greetings that say "Happy Thanksgiving". Express thanks in a special way by sending Thanksgiving invitations and making time to see those that are cared about and loved.
