The Ranches is a non-denominational Christian organization providing residential care to children between the ages of 12-18. The ultimate goal of our program is reuniting the child with their family.
The Ranches main facility is located in the Rio Grande valley 54 miles south of Albuquerque on 2250 acres of land. The campus includes two cottages for boys, two cottages for girls, dining facilities, a gymnasium and school, swimming pool, facilities for animals and farmland.
House Parents/Resident Advisors provide daily supervision and care for up to 10 children. Associate Resident Advisors provide care for the children when Resident Advisors are not on duty. Associate Resident Advisors assume additional responsibilities on campus such as office work, assisting in the school, maintenance and repair work, transporting residents to appointments, and caring for animals. Training in childcare practices is provided for all staff that interacts with the children. Administrators, Counselors and Resident Advisors work together as a team to provide services to the children and their families.
The Ranches is seeking couples. Transportation and accommodations for staff will allow for up to two children, currently living with the couple. The couples should be high energy and be able to meet the demands of a large family household. The couple should also have a heart for young people and be willing to invest themselves in the children's lives. The Ranches offers salary, with great benefits including room and board, bonuses, health insurance (HMO), dental reimbursement, life insurance, long term disability and paid time off. Staff housing is provided and consists of apartments or houses with three bedrooms, two baths, living area, kitchen, and laundry area.
